A Modern, Color-Soaked Wedding in Louisville, Kentucky

Peyton & Alex’s wedding at the Speed Art Museum was a balance of clean modern architecture, soft, romantic color and an energy that built as the day unfolded.

From the sun-filled ceremony to the high-energy reception, every part of the weekend felt intentional, elevated, and alive in motion.

The weekend began at Hurstbourne Country Club, where everything felt grounded and classic. It was an intentional pause before the energy of the wedding day—time to settle in, reconnect, and ease into what was ahead.

THE NIGHT BEFORE

Custom Moments & Thoughtful Design

Peyton’s custom pajama set for the morning brought a soft, tailored moment to getting ready. Effortless but intentional in every frame.

A hand-painted watercolor of the Speed Art Museum tied the entire day back to its setting, adding a personal, artistic layer to the details.

The Speed Art Museum set the tone immediately, modern architecture, open space, and a layout that allows every part of the day to feel like its own experience.

Nothing felt static. The entire wedding moved through the space in a way that felt immersive and fluid.

A Light-Filled Modern Moment

The ceremony took place in the museum’s main room, surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows. Natural light filled the space, making everything feel open, soft, and cinematic without losing the modern edge of the architecture.

COCKTAILS IN THE COURTYARD

Guests moved into the courtyard after the ceremony, where the energy shifted, sunlight, drinks in hand, and a natural ease that set the tone for the rest of the evening.

A sculptural seating chart set the tone immediately, paired with florals layered throughout the space in full, intentional abundance.

Every detail felt considered, from texture to placement to flow.
